Llanbister Community Hall and Hub can be booked for meeting, events and party’s.

The WI Group meet on the first Tuesday of each month.

Llanbister Ti a Fi playgroup meet in the hall every Friday morning 9.30-11.

Llanbister Community Catch Up Club meet in the hall every 1st and 3rd Wednesday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm

Congratulations to Geoff Morgan who has become our duly elected County Councillor.

Notice is hereby given of the general meeting of Llanbister Community Council on Thursday 30th June 2022 at 7.30pm in the Community Hall

We now have 2 Automatic Electronic Defibrillators for public use. One is located on the exterior wall of the community hall and the second is located in the old phone box at Llanbister Road



To celebrate the Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II the Community Council are organising an afternoon tea in the commyunity hall on Thursday afternoon 2nd June 2022 at 2pm. The event is free of charge and everyone is invited.

At the time of writing a few details of our Show’s 100th Birthday activities still remain to be confirmed, but for your diary:

Sunday 29 May
Horse Fun Run 9.30 – 1.00, starting at Penrhos Paddocks
Clay Shoot – details tbc
Car Treasure Hunt – 4.30, starting at Llanbister Church

Thursday 2 June
Sheep Shearing, Barbecue and Bar – evening, at the village hall

Friday 3 June
1.00 – late – Main show on Trawscoed field (follow the signs), with refreshments and bar.
Horse & Pony show – entries from 9.00am, Jumping from 11.00am

Final details and times will appear in the printed programme, distribution expected from early May. Meanwhile, updates will be posted on our Facebook page. You can also contact us as below.

The show day events include: Horse & Pony, Jumping, Dog and Sheep Shows, Fur and Feather competition, displays of bees, pygmy goats, Valais sheep, pigs, alpacas, other animals, choir and other musical entertainments, child and adult craft (many on a Jubilee theme, and a new category – walking sticks), produce sections, things to do for children, trade, craft and community stalls, tea tent, bar. Thank you to all who are helping with activities or supporting us through advertising, sponsorship and donations. You are invited to ‘show’ your commitment by becoming a Vice President for an annual donation of at least £15 (£25 for a couple), which will entitle you to free admission, refreshments, acknowledgement in the programme (if received in time) and on the day. Please request an application form.
